TEWKSBURY ABBEY 18/5/13..PHOTOS BY TONY SAVAGE

Saturday, 16th May 2015 at 7:00pm; Tewkesbury Abbey, Church Street, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, UK GL20 5RZ.

A marvellous evening of choral music in wonderful architectural surroundings. With renowned trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins, organ and choir under the baton of Adrian Lucas, we will delight our audience! Some of the music from our Paris tour will be performed, as well as the sound of the sparking trumpet.

We return to Tewkesbury Abbey for a concert to include Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Minor (which we premiered on 6th December 1922). This was in the choir’s second season, so we are going back to our roots in this concert, 92 years later.

Programme to include:
S Wesley In exitu Israel
J S Bach Cantata 147
Gibbons O clap your hands
Vaughan Williams Mass in G Minor
Britten Te Deum in C
