Alternatively, simply turn up on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at the
Friends Meeting House in Bull Street, Birmingham City Centre [map]
and ask for Stella. The rehearsal season runs from the start of September
through to May or June, depending on the Choir's schedule. The subscription
for the 2008/2009 season is £106 - a bargain for at least five concerts and
about 40 rehearsals! Reductions are made for members who join part-way through
the season, and students in full-time education can join for free!
And you can now pay this in instalments.
When you are ready an audition will be arranged for you. For this you
will need to sing a song of your choice, that you have prepared, and be
able to demonstrate some sight-reading ability.
We are always keen to recruit and encourage more singers, and a scheme
is in place to provide vocal coaching for the whole choir and particularly
for new and young members. Details of this can be found on the Voice Factory page.
