a national federation of amateur music societies and clubs - which organises
participatory events from time to time. Here are some details of singing/choral
events currently planned by Making Music or by participating organisations.

Saturday 10th May 2008 at St Philip's Cathedral Birmingham
SING FAURÉ
Rehearse and perform all on the day Fauré's Requiem and Vaughan
Williams' Five Mystical Songs. Conductor Peter Wright, Director of Music
at Southwark Cathedral. Soloists rehearsal commences 10.00am, choral
rehearsal 12.30pm, Performance 4.15pm. Cost £15, students £8
and further discounts for RCO members. Hire of music £2.50 each
piece and £10 deposit.
Saturday and Sunday 10th/11th May 2008 at Cavendish Hall, Chatsworth,
Parks, Derbyshire
CHORAL WEEKEND with NIGEL PERRIN
Saturday - 9.00am - 6.00pm - Monteverdi Vespers - £26 (Students

Sunday - 9.00am - 6.00pm - Bach and beyond - £26 (Students £10)

Massed choir performance with Chandos Symphony Orchestra conducted
by Michael Lloyd
Rehearsals in Bromsgrove (Wednesdays 7.30 - 10pm from 30th April
taken by Colin Baines) and Warwick (Thursdays 7.30 - 10pm from 1st
May taken by Colin Touchin) with combined rehearsal on Saturday 1st
June at Adrian Boult Hall from 11.30am - 4.30pm.
Dress rehearsal Symphony Hall June 8th 2 - 5.30pm. Performance 7.30pm.
DJs and B&W dress. Cost £20
10th - 17th August 2008 at Cranleigh School Surrey/Guildford
