Local School Children enjoy early Christmas Present
19 December 2006
30 children and staff from Meadow Green
Primary School in Wythall enjoyed an early start to Christmas this year!
They were treated by Resolution plc - also based in Wythall - to tickets
to our family Christmas Concert in Symphony Hall on Sunday. Their day was
complete when they even had a special welcome to the event from the platform
by our conductor, Adrian Lucas.
The concert featured lively input
from the Heart of England Brass, the Choir of Worcester Cathedral, the
Symphony Hall organ, played by Adrian Partington, and harpist Tanya Houghton.
Even the audience got in on the act, as they were invited to try singing
with first Welsh, then Yorkshire and finally Scottish accents!
Resolution plc is keenly aware of the importance of actively contributing
to the well-being of the local community, and this treat for Meadow Green
Primary School is just the latest example of Resolution's activity in the
area, and one that is seen as genuinely worthwhile.
Lucy Symonds - Communications Manager - said: 'We felt this was an ideal
way of showing our active commitment to the community, as it provided an
opportunity to give something a bit special to the local school children,
as well as supporting a first-class amateur arts organisation, based in
Birmingham.'
Judging from the enthusiastic cheer the children from Meadow Green gave
when they were welcomed to the concert, this was indeed a truly memorable
Christmas present from Resolution plc!
