Choir Soprano Naomi Green went down to London yesterday and met the Prime
Minister, Tony Blair.
Naomi, a graduate engineer with Arup's Vehicle Design group,
is a Science and Engineering Ambassador, promoting awareness in schools. The
aim is to encourage pupils to study science and technology and to pursue
careers in engineering.
She spends many happy hours in her day job crashing buses into concrete
barriers. As well as being a lot of fun, this helps her to assess vehicle
crashworthiness, which provides data for vehicle designers.
