Trusts and Foundations
The support provided to the City of Birmingham Choir by Trusts
and Foundations has been invaluable over many years. As well as
helping us with core running costs, this has enabled us to carry
out various exciting initiatives, such as:
Two hugely successful vocal workshops for primary and secondary
school children
Sustained professional vocal training for several primary and
secondary school children
Several opportunities for children to sing in our annual
Christmas Celebration concert in Symphony Hall
The commissioning of a new choral work by Bob Chilcott
An access initiative to provide free concert tickets to groups
of children from a local school
Open workshops for all at Birmingham’s annual Arts Fest weekends
Competitions for both children and adults to compose new work
to be performed in our Christmas Celebration concert
Open Rehearsals to welcome all-comers into the heart of the Choir's work
