Vaughan Williams at 150: A Sea Symphony, Symphony Hall

Sunday, 6th November 2022 at 3:00pm; Symphony Hall, Centenary Square, Birmingham B1 2EA.

The City of Birmingham Choir’s Centenary programme features works by English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. First, the exquisite orchestral miniature, Fantasia on Greensleeves, followed by the stirring Benedicite, scored for choir, orchestra and soprano soloist. Then, A Sea Symphony, the composer’s first, and most loved choral symphony, where the choir is an integral part of the musical texture throughout. We look forward to celebrating our 100-year partnership with the CBSO and performing one of our favourite choral masterpieces.
