Paris tour 8th – 12th April 2015.

Arrangements for the tour are now finalised.

The itinerary is as follows:

Wednesday 8th April 

08.45 – 09.00hrs Coach travellers assemble at pick up point alongside Birmingham Town Hall

09.00 – 09.30hrs Baggage loading and boarding
09.30hrs Coaches depart promptly. No stops en-route but toilet on board

12.00/12.30hrs Coaches arrive St Pancras.
NB: A good time margin has been allowed in case of delays – there should be plenty of time at St Pancras for lunch/refreshments.

13.30hrs All assemble at Eurostar Departure Terminal for check-in
14.31 – 17.47hrs St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord
17.50 – 18.10hrs Transfer to coaches

Evening free

Thursday 9th April
Breakfast is a self-service unlimited ‘gourmet’ buffet so everybody should find something that fits their dietary requirements.

14.30 – 15.45hrs Rehearsal.
NB: Please note that there is limited time for this rehearsal. We may need to put chairs out etc before we start and we do not have ‘access’ to start setting-up before 14.30hrs. Please assist by facilitating whatever arrangements are necessary as quickly (and quietly) as possible. Paul Carr will be familiarising himself with the organ during the setting-up and the church is likely to be open to visitors during this time.

16.00 – 17.00 Concert – part of weekday series – see programme below.

NB There is a concert by a German choir from 16.00-17.00hrs, so again, please be ready to assist with any setting up and seating etc. in the performance area as soon as it becomes available after the previous concert.

20.00hrs Re-assemble at the Abbey
N.B. there is a Mass in the Abbey at 19.00hrs.

20.30 – 22.00hrs Concert – see programme below

22.00hrs Return to hotel by coaches


Saturday 11th April
Morning free

13.45hrs Assemble at Notre Dame Cathedral (exact location to be advised)

14.00 – 15.30hrs Rehearsal

Sunday 12th April

08.30 – 09.30hrs Hotel check-out
09.00hrs Coach available for luggage loading
10.00hrs Coach departs for Notre Dame. Coach drop off point is Quai de l’Archeveche, a few minutes’ walk from ND.

11.00hrs Assemble at agreed point (to be advised) at Notre Dame
11.30 – 12.35hrs Participation in sung International Mass at Notre Dame

13.30hrs Coach departs from Quai de l’Archeveche for Gare du Nord
14.15hrs Assemble at Eurostar terminal Gare du Nord
15.13 – 16.39hrs Eurostar – Gare du Nord to St Pancras
16.40 – 17.15hrs Transfer to coaches (in London)
17.15hrs Coaches depart for Birmingham
20.15hrs Estimated arrival at Birmingham Town Hall
