The afternoon’s programme features much loved music from Sir Edward Elgar – From the Bavarian Highlands, William Walton – Piano duet from Façade, Michael Tippett – 5 Spirituals, Brahms – Liebeslieder waltzes and from the inventive pen of contemporary composer Bob Chilcott – Five Days that Changed the World. From the genius of Elgar to the ingenuity of Chilcott, this programme takes you on a musical journey through life changing events that have shaped and influenced not just individuals, but the world as a whole.
