Handel’s Messiah with the CBSO, Symphony Hall

Friday, 6th December 2019 at 7:00pm; Symphony Hall, Centenary Square, Birmingham B1 2EA.

Begin the Festive season in style with a sparkling performance of Handel’s famous choral masterpiece, ‘Messiah’. Established in 1921, the City of Birmingham Choir has been thrilling audiences with annual performances of Handel’s Messiah for over 90 years. Performed in the acoustically perfect surroundings of Birmingham’s Symphony Hall with the world famous CBSO, this is a fabulous opportunity to enjoy choruses such as ‘For unto us a child is born’ and moving arias including ‘I know that my redeemer liveth’ and of course, as is the tradition, stand up and join in with the world’s most well-known chorus ‘Hallelujah!’

The Birmingham Post has said of our Messiah performance:
“We were truly privileged to hear this fine performance by the inspired City of Birmingham Choir, a chamber sized CBSO and committed soloists. Musical Director Adrian Lucas was in control covering a breadth of emotions from all quarters. He has a truly splendid choir with everyone palpably performing to their utmost.”
