Regrettably cancelled owing to Coronavirus.
The late Renaissance splendour of Monteverdi’s Italian innovation, the glorious golden age of English Tudor choral music from Weelkes and Byrd, the baroque energy of Handel, Mendelssohn’s brilliance and Holst’s popular orchestral St Paul’s Suite – this concert has such a range of wonderful music for you to explore and enjoy. At its heart, two mini-masterpieces by William Harris include this concert’s eponymous ‘Faire is the Heaven’.
Join the City of Birmingham Choir for an uplifting evening of song, celebrating some of the best choral music composed in the European tradition. Accompanied by the Westminster Chamber Orchestra and conducted by Adrian Lucas.
