Exhibition: Carmina Burana
To coincide with a marvellous concert with Birmingham Schools’ Symphony Orchestra in May 2011, the choir put on an exhibition in Symphony Hall foyer of poetry written by members of the orchestra and the choir. Here are some of the poems from the display. (Unfortunately, we are unable to present the full artwork on line.) The programme booklet (not available on line) included many contributions including artwork from the performers of all ages, and was sponsored by Phoenix Group so that it could be given free to audience and performers. The front cover designs were by Sarah Atkinson and Aimee Presswood, and the programme notes by Duncan Wall and Anya Hancock (all BSSO members).
